Anigre (Aningeria spp.)
Other Names:
Anegre, Aniegre, Longhi, Noce Tanganika
Grain:
A moderately hard species. Moderately porous. Heartwood has a
light yellowish white to medium brown color, sometimes with a
pinkish tone. There can be considerable color variation from
light to medium between parts.
Finishes:
Characteristics show up best with clear finishes. The species
does accept stains well. It can be difficult to completely fill
the grain when using solid lumber.
