Helping the Helpless
Morningstar
Children and Family Services inc. is a passion for Rulon as they help orphans
and abandoned children.
Many of the children at the Morningstar campus come from homes ravaged by drugs, alcohol, violence and child abuse. Some of the children simply are abandoned because of their mental disabilities. Morningstar is a great refuge for these children but they have their challenges financially. Our goal as a company is threefold; one, to meet the physical needs of the children, two, to meet the emotional needs of the children and three to meet the spiritual needs of the children.
Morningstar is always in need of financial support. If you are interested in learning more about Morningstar and how you can help with their needs, please email contact Joanne Robison at jrobison@morningstarcfs.org or call 912-267-7583.

Rulon and the St. John’s County Education Foundation team up!
As a participating member of the Consortium of Florida Education foundations or CFEF, The St John’s County Education Foundation has teamed up with local schools to promote the advancement of STEM education or Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Rulon played a role in this endeavor by hosting Sebastian Middle School students from St Augustine, Florida. The students were from an advanced math class and were participating in a program involving engineering and wood science and how these skills applied to the real world. School credit was awarded through participation in exercises involving geometry, trigonometry, acoustics and drafting. Other engineering skills taught by two of Rulon’s engineers, Tom Rice and Chuck Prescott, included 3D CAD modeling, architectural scaling and site measurement. The science of wood was covered by Alejandro Fernandez Veraud, Rulon’s Plant Director.
Rulon actually manufactured product based on the work and findings of the students. Awards were created with the products that were manufactured and presented to the students in an awards ceremony held at Rulon.
